This side event will highlight the critical yet often overlooked role of grasslands, savannahs, and rangelands in supporting biodiversity, food security, and climate resilience. It will advocate for their inclusion in National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs) and showcase innovative approaches for their protection, management, and large-scale restoration, along with exploring financing solutions to support these efforts.
