Inventory of methods for climate adaptation

The project provided decision-makers in the partner countries with a tried and tested inventory of methods for identifying, analysing and prioritising adaptation needs and measures. It supported the effective management of climate-relevant data and promoted the establishment of a network to facilitate South-South exchange among adaptation stakeholders. In this way, the project enabled local stakeholders to make decisions on adaptation to climate change that are strategically appropriate and effective in the long term. This in turn increased the partner countries’ ability to adapt and lowered the long-term costs associated with climate change. The project also supported the development of methods for verifying the effectiveness of adaptation measures.
