At the German Innovation Prize for Climate and Environment (IKU) 2017, the Renewables Academy AG (RENAC) was awarded with its project "Green Banking - Capacity Building for Financing Renewable Energies and Climate Protection" in the category "Climate and Environmental Protection Technology Transfer in Developing and Emerging Countries and in Eastern European Countries": The project promotes green energy and climate protection markets through capacity building in the financial sector of emerging countries. Its concept for imparting knowledge about renewable energies and energy efficiency as well as international financing instruments helps to stimulate corresponding investments.
