Why does Ukraine need to implement BAT?

BAT is the best available techniques that help reduce industrial pollution. In 2014, Ukraine made a commitment to implement the provisions of Directive 2010/75/EU on industrial pollution. The EU uses integrated permits and BAT sectoral reference documents to regulate environmental issues. So now the Ukrainian government, together with companies and environmental organizations, is developing BAT for Ukraine.
