Mangroves & Markets (MAM), developed together with IUCN, is a mangrove restoration project based on a sustainable shrimp farming model and emission reductions in the Ca Mau region of Vietnam.

The future of the mangroves is closely linked to sustainable shrimp farming. This project integrated restoration of mangrove ecosystems and economic incentives, to support shrimp farmers with reforestation and shrimp cultivation in their mangrove forest areas.

This programme is part of the SNV established REDD+ Energy and Agriculture Programme (REAP). REAP advances understanding of the interaction between agriculture and energy use across different forest landscapes, to support low emission, pro-poor development opportunities.
