SV Kwai: GIZ Low Carbon Sea Transport Project in the Marshall Islands

The Sailing Cargo Ship SV Kwai has been purchased by the Marshall Islands in January 2021. Since that, the Marshall Islands are showcasing how sustainable sea transport is doable and allows for fuel independent shipping services.

The German International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH is implementing at 6-year bilateral project jointly with the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies supporting to fulfill the NDC commitment of the Marshall Islands.
