The EbA Amazon project aims to reduce the vulnerability to climate change of the indigenous communities that co-manage Communal Reserves in the Peruvian Amazon. Resilient livelihoods were enhanced, while 500,000 hectares of high biodiversity value areas were conserved. To support the financial sustainability of the Reserves' co-management regime, social enterprises were established under the communities’ leadership, with a portion of enterprise revenues directly supporting conservation efforts.
