Civil Society Engagement for ambitious climate action
Civil society participation in drafting climate policies is essential to set ambitious climate targets and measures that are accepted by the population. Civil society organisations are important stakeholders in climate policy due to their close contact to local communities and their decades of experience. Adequate civil society participation must therefore be inclusive, transparent, at eye-level, enabling and continuous.
