Chile Energy Transition
With a dynamic expansion of renewable energies, a new energy efficiency law and the implementation of a CO2 tax, as well as the agreed coal phase-out, the promotion of sustainable transport systems, the introduction of a "green" hydrogen economy and reforestation, Chile aims to achieve CO2 neutrality by 2050 at the latest. The prospects for this are very positive. Since 2008, the BMU has been successfully supporting Chile in achieving this goal with IKI projects.
