The  Caracal is one of the rarest vertebrates in central Asia, where it occurs in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, northern Iran, and Afghanista. The scientist Maria Gritsina researched on expeditions of the Central Asian Desert Initiative (CADI) about the endangered cat species in Uzbekistan. She analyses the reasons for the threat to the Caracal and shows solutions for the protection of the big cats.
