Roteiro para Criação de Unidades de Conservação Municipais

The guideline aims to orient managers and technicians from municipal bodies on the process of creating local protected areas – called “Unidades de Conservação municipais”, in Portuguese - in Brazil. The guideline contributes to the expansion and consolidation of the Brazilian System of Conservation Units ("Sistema Nacional de Unidades de Conservação da Natureza" or SNUC, in Portuguese), and collaborates to Brazil fulfills the goals arising from the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).
