On the road to 2025- Lessons for effective NDC update support

The 2020/2021 NDC updating cycle was for many countries the first opportunity to follow the intended ‘ratcheting up’ mechanism for increased ambition, to contribute to the global goal of the Paris Agreement. This study, commissioned by the International Climate Initiative (IKI) identifies and highlights key lessons from developing country experiences of the updating process and the support received. The aim is to inform and provide guidance to future NDC enhancement and implementation support.
