This study analyzes fleet characteristics and compares the vehicle characteristics of major manufacturers and classes of new two-wheelers sold in India. Parameters considered include engine displacement, engine power, curb weight, transmission, fuel type, fuel consumption, and CO2 emissions. The fleet-average CO2 emission level of two-wheelers in India was 38.2 g/km in fiscal year 2020–2021, 7% less than the fleet average in fiscal year 2017–18.
