Green Cooling in public procurement
How to advance the procurement of climate-friendly and energy-efficient cooling equipment in the public sector? Air conditioning in public buildings is often responsible for around 50% of total electricity consumption. Switching to climate-friendly cooling technologies ("Green Cooling") can reduce costs and energy consumption and improve the carbon footprint. This study takes a closer look at the benefits of Green Cooling in the public sector and discusses current barriers and possible solutions.
