In the Philippines, increasing demand for electricity, frequent natural disasters, heavy reliance on foreign fuel imports and the country’s archipelagic geography all make ensuring energy security particularly challenging. Renewable energy can help to ensure a reliable, resilient and cost-efficient energy supply.
