The 14th Five Year Plan (FYP) was approved in March 2021, amid an ongoing pandemic, marked economic pressures and an increasingly uncertain geopolitical landscape. The FYP will guide China’s social and economic development for the next five years. Ecosystem protection and restoration is one of its priorities.
