The Mitigation Action Facility takes another significant stride towards catalysing transformative climate action as it announces the eagerly awaited Call for Projects 2024 with a funding volume of up to EUR 100 million.

The Call for Projects 2024 signifies a continued commitment to addressing climate challenges through sectoral decarbonisation. Building on the success of previous initiatives, the Mitigation Action Facility aims to bridge funding gaps and accelerate transformational change across key sectors such as energy, transport, and industry. This marks a crucial moment for the Facility, as it continues its mission to drive scalable and replicable solutions in ODA-eligible partner countries. This is also underlined by the strategic cooperation of the Facility with the NDC Partnership and UNFCCC.

The official announcement took place at COP28 event in Dubai on December 6, 2023 and will be delivered by Graham Stuart MP and German Parliamentary State Secretary Stefan Wenzel. "We are thrilled to announce the Call for Projects 2024 at COP28. This call represents our dedication to fostering sustainable development and mitigating climate change on a global scale," remarked Soeren David, Head of the Technical Support Unit at the Mitigation Action Facility.
