Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environment Partnership Fund (E5P)

The Fund supports environmentally sustainable and energy-efficient investments in green municipal infrastructure. It mobilises international grant resources and combines them with loans from leading International Financial Institutions to make priority projects affordable and more impactful. The focus is on modernising district heating, improving energy efficiency in public buildings, upgrading water and wastewater systems, strengthening solid waste management, and developing sustainable urban transport. By promoting cleaner technologies and efficient resource use, the initiative helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance climate resilience, and improve living conditions for citizens. In Ukraine, it further contributes to green reconstruction and alignment with European environmental and climate goals. The combined impact delivers lasting benefits for people, communities, and the environment.
