Inclusive Green Finance in Asia Pacific

The project provides needs-based financial support to smallholder farmers and vulnerable population groups in the Asia-Pacific region that are severely threatened by climate change. The sustainable financial products developed for this purpose primarily target vulnerable rural communities and are in line with the NDC priorities and the national framework conditions of the countries. In addition, a regional financing programme mobilizes private funds through the capital markets, aligned with the objectives of international institutional investors. The proposed financing mechanisms complement existing strategies to finance national adaptation plans with the support of public and private financial institutions. A three-tiered approach to capacity building supports vulnerable communities, financial institutions and financial policymakers and regulators.
