Status
The deadline for submitting project outlines for the ideas competition was 28 May 2024, 4 p.m. (CET). One project per thematic priority will be selected. The funding volume provided by the IKI per project can range from 8 to 30 million EUR depending on the thematic priority.
The IKI would like to thank all the organisations that took part in the ideas competition! We received an impressive 53 applications, all of which are currently undergoing a formal review and technical assessment.

Thematic priorities
The following thematic priorities are available:
- Decarbonisation of emission-intensive industrial sectors (BMWK)
- Combating deforestation in the Brazilian biomes Cerrado, Caatinga, Pantanal, Atlantic Rainforest and Pampa (BMUV)
- Climate change adaptation in vulnerable urban territories: Cooperating with communities and strengthening local governments (BMUV)
